Our Project Managers have demonstrated
experience in managing and leading IT/IM projects
with responsibility for staffing, budgeting,
scheduling and monitoring. Our Project Managers
possess excellent analytical, problem solving,
and decision-making skills complemented by
exceptional verbal and written communication
skills, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
Leadership experience in one or more of the
following areas:
- multi-tiered application development;
- selection and establishment of technical
architectures;
- design and development of large or medium
corporate data base applications;
- information resource management functions in
large or medium organizations;
- implementation activities associated with
large IT projects such as data conversion and
data base loading
Experience working with:
- structured methodologies for the design,
development, implementation and maintenance of
applications;
- use of project management software;
- full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC),
particularly using contemporary systems
development methodologies (e.g. Rational Unified
Process, Macroscope, etc.);
- high pressure, time-sensitive initiatives;
and
- quality assurance of various SDLC
deliverables

- Knowledge of, and experience with the policies
and procedures of the Government of BC with respect
to IT, e.g., business case development, project
approvals, systems development;
- Familiarity with Oracle products;
- Formal designation through the Project
Management Institute (PMI) or other similar
designation or formalized training in structured
project management methodologies; and
- Resident of Victoria or Vancouver
